The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance point produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
